What I don't see is (or know). Does the top of the manifold or the whole manifold, intake and injectors need to be removed to get to the throttle asbly. Do you or anyone out there know how much of the top of the motor needs to be removed?

What's the evidence that you need a new throttle actuator?

No, the manifold does not need to be removed. You do need to remove the air mass sensor. There are four bolts that hold the ETA down. Make a note where the springs come from and go to. Get a new gasket for inbetween the ETA and the manifold. The plastic hose behind the ETA will break, order one along with the gasket. Keep some of the hard plastic vacuum line handy too.
