Wiring help

What color wires on my 97 C 230 do I hook up to my converter box for a 4 wire trailer hook up? I have about 7 wires on each tail light. When I put my meter on the plug to check the blinking turn signal 3 of them had pulsing voltage. Which wire is the correct one to use? Thanks
