Weird SRS light behavior....
On a 1993 190e 2.6 -
When I got this car a year ago the SRS light was on all the time and I really did not give it much thought as I only put about 3K miles a year on it. Over the past few days I noticed the light was off when first started, but would come on after a minute or two. Today while tooling around town, I noticed it would go out for a few minutes, come on for a few and so on. When the light first went out I thought the car was beginning to like me, now I'm starting to get concerned. I tried a search but could not find any threads involving similar behavior .... Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

It sounds like the slip-rings behind the steering wheel are either dirty or damaged. They can be cleaned per the FSM.
