Talking Am I crazy? I am looking into a 190e 2.3!

I found a reeeal nice looking 190e 2.3....and I'm attempting to get it (bid on it)......who knows how it will end, but its a sweet looking car. Anything I should know about the 2.3 vehicles? Are they reliable? I guess its a bit late to ask. Here's some pics:

Looks super nice....and its not too far away to require more than a day's drive....only has 101k on it!

I think we've both lost it making our way to the gasser side of the force.

Here was Jimmy's reaction; sorry to share our personal messages, Wagonmaster.

Mesmerized I am! I want to have a gasser MB in the stable....can't just remain all diesel forever....it'd be my wife's car though, so mostly all I'd do is maintain it....and occasional driving. She wants a small car thats relatively efficient, and could care less about "tons of power"....so a 4cyl 190 it is....searching for cars is exhausting. I wish I could just find a nice one and be done with it. Then I get to deal with selling off her icky Toyota.......I despise it.....I don't think a vehicle could be any more boring, and less safe, or any less comfortable than her Rav4.....

I love searching for cars. I probably spend at least an hour a day doing it.

Good luck, or have you already purchased it? Dealer action?

Memorized???

Thats a very nice looking automobile. I had a 1984 190D, which was the diesel version, but everything else was the same. It was a good car, but it had been well cared for. Everything save for the A/C worked. All of the gauges and lights worked perfectly, as did the windows/locks, etc.

This one you are looking at also looks like a well cared for car.

It looks more like a dealer sent it through their detail shop.

That was spell checker's fault. I spend about that long looking each day too. Sad thing is that most of the cars I am looking for or that are in nice shape are all so far away. I have a bid in on that car but it doesn't meet the reserve. If he wants to offer it to me for the ending bid then I'll take it, otherwise it's too much.
