Oh, I forgot!

Here is a quick check to see if your combination relay is bad. Take out the relay and shake it. If you hear something rattling inside, it is bad. What happens is a soder joint or a metal piece fails and falls apart. Any rattling is a sign the entire relay needs to be replaced. There are three relays inside!

If you are really handy, you can try to repair the relay yourself like the gentleman did in the original post. I thought about it but decided it wasn't worth it. It could have been an easy fix but other joints were prone to failure too!
