1995 E420 W124 Battery Type

Hi, I have a 1995 E420, and been having some odd problems with it.
Battery Does not charge not, and when I boost it, and the asr kicks in, the radio and all the power stuff turn off.
the battery it had in it was a mercedes battery 100AH and only 450amps,
was it the wrong battery? b/c it seems low for a V8, b/c my old E320 had a 650CCA battery.
I want to replace it now, but I want to make sure I get the right battery
thanks

According to the EPC, your car takes a 100AH battery, part #004-541-03-01

oddly enough, an engine with a higher cylinder count doesn't need as much power as there are more firing strokes per revolution. which means it would be easier to start.

as for the required power, i just use an optima in my 90 300E and am planning to get one for my new (to me) 94 E320. smaller than the recommended battery, but powerful enough to crank it every morning.

I would suggest an Interstate battery. MTP-93 is the Interstate number for it.
