300e glitch

My 1993 300e required a boost recently(since found a 1/2 amp draw when car is not running), and the cell phone activated itself after the boost, and there's no phone in the car.
The battery was less than a year old, all other elec. is fine. Any ideas ?
This is my first Benz and the car is wonderful. Thanx in advance.

Disconnect the plug on top of the power antenna and check your amp draws again. I have seen that be an issue on several cars before. You can also pull out each fuse to isolate the culprit while you have your amp tester hooked to the battery. When the amp guage goes to zero you have found the draw. Although, if your car has a clock on the instrument cluster it is not unusual for it to draw low amps in order to keep the time while the car is not running. Hope this helps.

Wow, a clock can draw AMPS? That doesn't sound right..... I've never seen a quartz clock pull more than a few milliamps....

the saga continues...

lost the draw with the unplugging of the antenna...which caused an "e 2" error in the radio/deck....also the "Tel Aid" feature which booted up is still on and assuming I need to pull the fuse to reboot the chip for this....am I right ? Thanx in advance.
