there is a possibility, that when you compressed the caliper piston to install thenew pads, that its causing the piston to lock up,jack the car up,then try to spin the wheel, see if its dragging,if it rolls 3 lor more times its fine, check the rotor at night see if its glowing red or orange.the caliper may be old and may need to be replaced, opening a bleeder is very easy, look for the small nipple that sticks out on the back of it,small wrench will turn it,pump the brakes 4-5 times hold your foot all the way to the floor, then have someone open the bleeder, flud will squirt out, then have them retighten it,while still holding your foot to the floor, pump the pedal more, then repeat this about 4 times,it should bleed good, then recheck the drag on the wheel,if its not rolling free i would replace the caliper, then re bleed it to get the air out,if its overheating your rotor wil warp and you will feel a pulsation in the pedal and the car will hjave a minor vibration,if you continue driving it,its only going to get worse till it locks u completley dragging the tire,or your brake pad may be swollen from excessive rain or moisture, checkto make sure the pads are roperly seated in the caliper, good luck.
