Flywheel segments and magnet...
Hi,
Just for my personal knowledge, a 190e, 2.6, 1991, automatic transmission should have 3 segments on the flywheel to supplies the impulse to the CPS. Right ?? Any of those segment have a magnet on ?? How does the CIS know the TDC ?? Does surface rust on the segment will influence the CPS Ac voltage output ? Thanks for your answers Max |
Hi Max, I just posted my CPS test results on the other site.

The CIS doesn't need to know TDC. Only the EZL uses this signal. There is no real "timing" on CIS. It is constantly injecting fuel when the engine is running. That is why Benz went to EFI. It burns cleaner as far as Emissions are concerned. I imagine fuel economy is also better with EFI. -Zach
