Forgot ot mention this is for a w211 (2003 e320)

I am trying to remove the axles, but they dont want to budge out of the diff. Did I miss something? Are the supose to slip out of the CV boot, or does it come out as an asembly with the CV joint? want kind of force will it take?

Any help or direction would be great.
