Coil spec for 300E??

whats the coil spec for the secondary and primary winding of the coil. I got 0.01 for secondary and 08.2 for primary. Its an 89 300E with hard starting problems, I'm thinking the coil is the culprit. Anyone?

i've found with the later coils, resistance testing may not be accurate. that said, i don't know the specs. i will offer this-if there is a cloudy white area on the coil body next to the metal bracket, then replace the coil. the cloudy spot is where the coil is arcing to the outside under load or during a cold start. easy to see with a scope, but i have to test them that way to be sure. also, read the post below, the coil is the same design as yours. yeah, i am a bit prejudiced to my response. good luck, chuck.

Ignition coil:
Primary (terminal 1 and 15) 0.3-0.6 Ohm
Secondary (terminal 1 and 4) 8-13 Kohm

Position pickup (crankshaft sensor) 680-1200 Ohm

Distributor cap for each connection, distributor rotor , spark plug connector 1 K ohm
