Are Kool Vue Brake Pads OK?

Anyone here has used Kool Vue Brake Pads and can tell if they are good? If not what do you recommend? Textar seems to be more expensive.

The ad sounds impressive:
"CM SERIES BRAKE PAD SET, FRONT -- Made From High Quality Kevlar Fibre-Based Compound With Ceramic Particles That Lasts Longer, Offers More Quiet And Better Braking Than Pre-Ceramic Compound Pads, Minimizes Brake Dust Up To 50% Compared To Standard Pads, Comes With Center Line Slots To Prevent Cracking, Includes Left And Right Brake Pads, Perfect For High-Speed Spirited Street Driving, Suitable For Highly Tuned And High Horsepower Cars"

Thanks!

Generally the harder the pads the less "grippy" they will be in quick stops, and they will wear the rotor faster.

I say that any brake pad that will fit is fine, these are not F1 or Indycars here. I was at my local MB dealer the other day to get an 80a fuse for the heater blower on my 1990 300 ($2) and the guy in front of me was buying what clearly were rear brake pads, I can tell by the size of them. Rears are little guys, anyway, he had tried to install new pads from autozone and they wouldn't work, seems the pins that secure the pads in the caliper are oval and the pads he bought, aftermarket, have round holes in them. As a result he couldn't use the aftermarket pads. So he had to obtain the original MB pads. He said the aftermarket pads were $32 for the set. The parts guy came back with the correct pads; $85!! The parts guy then asked the customer if he needed new pins as well and the customer said that yes, he did, as he felt he had destroyed the original pins trying for force them in through the caliper inlets. I am standing there watching this exchange. The parts guy then informs him they don't have any pins in stock but will order said pins, $7 each (needs 4). So I am seeing 85+28=$113 for parts alone for rear brake pads. Now, I don't what year and model the MB was but I came home and looked up in my BMW parts catalog the same things.....$49. unbelievable difference. $120 for rear brakes on an MB, not including labor...come on....that's stupid, that's no rotor work or anything, just the pads and pins? The guy asked how much new rotors were and the CSR looked it up and said $120 each....unbelievable..... for the rears....I bet this customer screwed the calipers up as well trying to force these round pegs into a square hole and might end up needing new calipers as well, I shudder to think.....
