Tranny E320

I have a 1996 E320. Looking at servicing the tranny.

Is it still the tranny that uses dextron 3? Or is the later one ?

It has a dip stick so i assume its not the sealed tranny...

On the shifter is has 2 - 3 - 4 - Then you move the shifter to the left to select D.

I have a filter from a 300E will this fit ?

Yes, sounds like a regular "mechanical" 722.3 auto trans.

No such thing as a "sealed" trans!
