Electrical Problems S-430

I'm going crazy with so many codes and electrical problems going on at the same time. Yesterday a malfunction code displaying a low beam right lamp not working, check lamp, came in display and the R Headlamp is not working. Thought it was the bulb, replace it and no success. Started reading the WIS and hardly found the wiring diagrams. The bulb is not receiving 12 volts through the yellow wire that comes from the N10/6 control module. Does that mean that the module is not working? I read the left SAM controls many things and all are working in order. The rest of the bulbs in the headlamp are working.

Any past experience with these modules? Should I look somewhere else?

Thanks for your reply.

Did you try switching the bulbs?

MB issues a bulletin on using Phillips bulbs (xenon) instead of Osram on 2000-03 S-class cars.

My mistake, looking at the Owner's Manual I was looking for the wrong bulb (High Beam). Removed the Low Beam, more lateral and put a new one, problem solved. The only thing is that the metal clip came off and is a very tight place to work in, so when I replaced it is not fitting as well and the bulb is not pressed against the socket. I guess the vibration can break the filament.

Well so much for a mechanic. I have to read more and get into this model. It is quite different from the 1991-350SD that I traded-in for this one.

Sorry for taking your time, and thank you for your reply. I already got some more literature and signed-in for the EPC, thanks to this forum. Manage to solve the problem about the mirror frame of the Right Sun Visor. There is indeed a part # for the frame. The autopart in the area told me that I had to get the whole sun visor. Will call Phil with the part # and code to check for availability and price.

Thank you all for sharing information.
