99 Clk 430 Transmission questions

Hey guys,
I bought my 430 at the end of the last season and put it away for the winter... I had almost forgotten how nice of a ride it is. Nonetheless, i researched the vehicles pasts and at 140k km, it still hasnt gotten a tranny fluid change, or a diff fluid change There currently arent any serious issues with the transmission (there will casually be a hard shift once in a while), but id like to avoid any complications. And so ive got a couple of questions:
-Does anyone know the best fluid to use, where i can buy it, and how much is need? (for the transmission and differential, im situated in Canada)
-Ive located a transmission gasket replacements w/ filter, anything i should be aware of before i do the work? Like things i should change or precautionary advice
Thanks a lot for your time,
Eric

You have a 722.6 trans. You can use MB fluid for either the 722.6 or 722.9. No equal. You'll need the factory dip stick tool; tube is empty beneath locking cap.

Check your owners manual for quantity because they do vary; if the torque converter has a drain plug it will usually take between 7.5 and 9 liters, or ~3l less if no TC drain plug.
