2002 MB SLK 230 - retrack roof problem

I had my 2002 MB SLK 230 inspected last week. The technition told that I had a tail light out and asked if he should fix it. I told him yes. Now my roof will not open. When I pull the latch, it blinks very rapidly. Any thoughts?
