Where to put webasto timer??

Hello
I have just got me a 300D from 1989
Now I want to install a webasto coolant heater that I already got from my old car.
Can anyone tell me some hint about the installation,
especially where on the dashboard to put the timer.
I`ve seen a picture off the same timer in the MB owner`s manual
so I expect that there is a special place prepared for this timer.
