I have noticed that the foam pieces which attach to the firewall (center-rear of the engine) have started to crumble. Does anyone know the part numbers to these attachment pieces? I looked on the startek site and could not find these pieces....Is the dealer the best bet to purchase replacements? This is for a 1995 E300 Diesel

You should be able to find one for like a couple dollars at a local junkyard. Probably your cheapest option.

Just noticed you live in the OC. Google maps the closest "Pick-A-Part".

Pretty sure you need to buy that metal panel to get the foam, all was originally 1 piece.
