W126 electrical problem
I recently removed and replaced the drivers door panel, I now have the following problems;
The light in the door does not come on. Opening the drivers door does not cause the interior light to come on (all other doors are fine) I used to be able to operate the power seat when I opened the door but before I put the key in...no more The speaker works fine. Any ideas? |

Although a new MB owner (85 380 se) my vehicle sat for three plus years when I found it. I encountered your problem right from the get go. There is a black switch which the door closes on and it pops right out with finger pressure. Two wires run to it, check connection/clean connection. This solved my lighting problem(very similiar to yours) Hope this helps

Thanks gentlemen.
What a validation that thread was. I typed ,then erased my original message three times before actually posting it. I thought I was rambling about an obscure problem. |
