Real bug in instrument cluster -- W124
The bug is the literal kind, with segmented legs, mandibles, a torso, thorax, etc. It is dead, dried up, the size of a split pea, and at rest by the battery warning light, at the bottom left side of the instrument cluster.
What do I do to get this out? Take out the instrument panel, put a shop vac up to the back and just hope the carcass gets sucked all the way out, rather than into the gears of the odometer or something? Any clever tricks? Any way to take off the clear panel of the instrument panel? Thanks in advance.

You'll need to pull the cluster out. Nothing scary, as a search in the archives will reveal.
