Help 85 500 Sel wont start
I have a 1985 500 Sel, I just had a new ignition and water pump installed now my car turns over but doesn't start, I was wondering if it had anything to do with the 2 wires that are loose under the steering column one says "amp" on it and one of them is supposed to plug into the steering column but I don't know what it does, maybe i'm way off though, like I said It turns over but won't start and after trying for 2 long the battery dies, also if anyone may have the ignition switch color code diagram that would be helpful I'm pretty sure I installed it right but it cant hurt to double check, thanks everyone

Are you aware of the timing chain guide rails that like to fail on the V8 cars?
I had a 420 that broke the guide, chain jumped... and that's all she wrote for the top end of the motor. Pop the driver's valve cover off and take a quick peek before pulling hair out testing all the electronics.
