Coincidence?

Today my 1999 C280 died for now apparent reason while driving it. At the same time, my Blackberry cell phone quit connecting to the AT&T network despite rebooting. (good thing my Son had his phone with him so we could call a tow truck!). Could these two events simply be a coincidence or are they related in some way? Won't know the car issues until tomorrow when the MB mechanic calls me back. Will let you all know.

Coincidence? Update

They tell me it's a bad Crankcase Position Sensor (CPS) that caused my C280 to die on the road yesterday. Still can't get the cell phone to work though. Sure beats me!

CPS failed to give a signal to the ECU for Ignition and Murphey's Law simply took advantage of your stuck situation.

Thanks Arthur, that makes sense. Just hope those CPS sensors don't fail too often!

Any ideas why both electric seat adjusters only work when they want to? (acted that way before the CPS failure). I am hoping that the saying "It's always something" does not apply to my newly acquired 1999 C280 MB!!!!

Out of curiosity where, exactly, were you driving when these events occurred?
