E420 Starter: Remanufactured vs. New

I checked Fastlane on a starter for my 1994 E420 and it's listing a remanufactured starter for $208.70 and a new starter for $119.71. Can anyone explain why the reman is significantly more expensive than the new starter? Is it that much better? Anyone have any experiences with the "new" starters. Thanks.

What's wrong with the starter?

Thanks for the information.

On a few occasions, it made a grinding noise when engaged and I'm thinking that the solenoid is starting to go out. As a preventative measure, I have been thinking of changing it out beforehand.
