SL500 ASR Trouble

I have a 1995 SL 500 that I keep in storage during the winter. When I went to get the car out of storage the battery was dead. I put a battery charger on it for a couple of hours while I did other things. After the car started I noticed that the ASR and Anti lock brake lights were on. I started my drive I noticed that the speedometer and the gauge that tells about fuel consumson were not working either. Also the cruse control doesn't work. All of these things were working properly when I put the car away. I am thinking that maybe the battery charger sent a surge thru the cars electrical system. I have checked all fuses including those behind the fuse box where the Modules are located. Everything looks good. Has anyone else had a problem like this? Is there one module that controls all of these functions? I live in Montana, and the only Mercedes dealer is about 4 hours away. I would really like to get this figured out with our taking the car in. Any help will be great!
