E320 112.941 pic

Does anyone have a pic of the front of the engine with the crank pulley / harmonic balancer removed. I'm trying to locate an oil leak. The crank seal looks dry but I can't really tell. Could it be leaking between the upper oil pan and the block?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Did it have the balancer come apart andcut into the front cover and the oil pan?

Harmonic balancer was replaced under warranty. No visual indication that oil pan was damaged. Can't see directly behind balancer - will have to remove to do through inspection. Oil is leaking either from seal between upper oil pan and block directly behind balancer or from bottom of crank seal. Pics would be helpfull before I remove balancer.

on the engine directly above and to the side of the belt tensioner is a small rectangular pce of metal held by two torx head screws.there are two diff gaskets that go under it and this is where your oil leak is,common problem.

I replaced the rectangular gasket on the oil pressure test plate today. There was oil leaking from the cover. Easiest job so far on this E320.

However, I still have a separate leak coming from behind the pulley/balancer, which I need to remove to see where it's coming from.

Can anyone confirm that the correct MBZ part # for the flywheel lock for my 112.941 engine is 112.589.03.40.00? Any suggestions for a good source for purchase?
