Replacing vaccum on '91 300CE

I'm in the middle of replacing the vaccum pods on my '91 300CE. I've got the dash out, and the center counsole. I still can't get to the back screws to replace the diverter pod (which is the one that's bad). Do I need to remove the box to do the job? If so, I can't find it on my cds. Any advice?

There was an extensive tutorial with photos done for this, was on the Diesel forum, now I believe it is in the DIY section.

I saw that. It was for the replacing of an evaporator. Would it be the same for the vaccum pods?

Do I need to pull the evaporator if I'm only doing the vaccum pods?

I take it that since I got no reply that its a dumb question and the answer is, "Yes. The evaporator does come out." So here's my next question, thinking I wouldn't have to fool with the evaporator I didn't evacuate the system. Now how to I do that? All I have is a Migty Vac. Do I get someone to come to my house since I can't drive the car out of the garage?
Thanks
