1995 E320 CEL issues

So, the CEL light came on my friend's car and I pulled off the following codes from the handy dandy code reader from the forum....

DM:
4 Air injection system faulty hot film mass air flow sensor with hot wire
9 Intake air temperature sensor, open circuit

Pin8:
3 Intake air temperature sensor

Pin14:
5 Stop lamp switch (S9/1)
14 Closed throttle position contact switch

Looks like the first order of business is to change the MAS on the car. Is this the correct diagnosis? We are also curious about the codes in Pin14. Any ideas?

Cheers,
Clive

Looks to me like someone has unplugged the IAT sensor and not put it back into the cross pipe.

Now that you've recorded the codes, clear them all, see which ones return. Might be old data. Plug in the IAT as Arthur mentioned if it isn't, ...

Mr. Dalton has taught me well....we reset the codes and pulled them again. Same codes as before...the IAT is plugged in correctly.

Mr Dalton has taught us all well, going to miss his thread-count target though ;~)

The next suggestion that I believe Arthur will give is to check the condition of the wire harness on a multi-code failure.

DM IATcode has sent you to HFM , and that verifies IAT sig as suspect.
So, I would first ohm that sensor at stabilized room temp [20C]
Looking for 2500 Ohm.

I would also clean the element w/MAF cleaner.

Codes on 14 ae stop ;lamp sw, which I would chamge..and look that you have 1/4" slack in the cable and that it is not sticking.
These codes are not common to a bad harness. But that does not mean the harness is good.
