Help change my battery

I need to put a new battery in my '83 300SD. I do not see any clamps that hold down the battery, yet I can't get it to budge. What's the secret to removing the battery?

There are clamps in the front, they are small and there (should be) two of them. Each are held in place with a 10mm nut on a stud built into the battery tray. If they are gone then its probably just stuck to the tray, the battery does weigh about 50lbs....

On the front edge of the battery tray, two little metal wedges, each held by a bolt with about an 11 or 12 mm head. Sometimes rusty and hard to get out.
