How to remove the safety triangle latch?
Can anyone tell me how to remove the swivel latch that clamps the safety triangle against the bottom of the trunk lid.
I don't want to risk breaking it. |

They are pretty hard to remove if they are old (without breaking) with that said epoxy is the fix. Look at the plastic spring clips on the picture - you have to depress to remove tension and lift out of slot.

The locking tab is the one just under the raised curve (note it's backwards from the locating tabs). I've had mixed success using a dental pick to pull up on the locking tab. If you can get the tab to raise, the piece slides toward the rear of the trunk and pops off. Jim
