1997 S 500 Coupe Climate Control
I have tried to do the diagnostic tests as suggested, but I am unable to get a readout. I have replaced the blower motor regulator, the cabin air filter and the AC relay. Now, I am getting the issue of the control unit doing whatever it wants. Any ideas?

Oddly enough...the problems with the climate control....which seemed like a blown blower regulator...which I had already replaced...disappeared on their own.
The day before the CC developed a mind of its own, I had traveled through serious standing water and a sustained torrential downpour. I believe that water reached some part it was not supposed to reach and just dried out on its own. However, I also did remove and clean the cabin temperature aspirator- that may have helped the "fix." Thanks. |
