odd electrical issues 190E 91

hey all,

So I have a couple of odd symptoms lately, on occaision after driving my car around for a few hours, with the headlight switch in the off position the headlights and fog lights will come on. When the turn signal is toggled it will hold that light on until you return the turn signal selector to rest.

And I have a tail light that decides to come off an on... Where do I start looking? or has anyone had this issue?

Could it the turn signal switch?

I've never had this issue, but my wife says that I have many "issues".

My thoughts would be since the turn signal control also controls the "flash to pass", it could be that...they have been known to fail...dealer or boneyard...

I could find no listing for a headlight relay.

The headlight switch could also be suspect...maybe a loose connection....

Just a thought....

Have to agree with tenor. Sounds like bad combo switch (shorting).

Yes. Combo switch, not the one shown in the link.

a month after i posted this, late at night my lights began dimming while driving, and my car stopped running, a jump and a multi showed the alternator wasnt charging, I got a new voltage regulator for the alternator, and my car runs and charges at the lowest 13.7 to 14v when running! havent had an issue with my lights being crazy yet, anyway this could have been the culprit?
