My fuel pump relay went out. I ordered a new one from a dismantler. After MUCH ado, it arrived today - wrong part, but it does seem to work.
Just wondering if these are interchangeable...? I don't want to wait another day for the right part, if possible. The correct part has 7 pins and is part number 001 545 9405 The part they sent has 6 pins and is part number 001 545 9305 Here is the correct part: ![]() Here is the part they sent: ![]() By the way, my car has fuel injection and is an automatic. THANK YOU KINDLY |

The large relay has a built in rpm (redline) cut-off. Take the cover off of the original relay and you will likely see a couple of solder joints that have cracking around them. Just resolder them and they usually work fine. have them send the correct one and you will have two relays . one for a back up.
