W210 starting problem

My 1997 e320 developed a starting problem. Car does not have power at the fuel pump. I tried to run power to the pump directly and the car still will not start. What worries me is I cannot get to the trouble codes in the computer. I have tried 3 different scanners and cannot get the computer respond. I have checked all the fuses in the car all are O/K. Not sure of where to go next. Thanks John

Does "all the fuses" include those on the K40 relay module? In addition, the K40 itself could be faulty; if yours is original, you're due for one.

What is a k-40 relay module? Yes I checked 5 fuses located passenger side back of the engine compartment under a cover. Along with the fuses under the rear seat and the main fuse compartment located at the drivers side rear of engine compartment. Thanks John

Those 5 fuses are on top of the K40 module. Open it up and inspect the solder joints under a strong lamp with a magnifier.

The module replaces part of the function of the OVP and includes a few other relays.

If the K40 isn't the problem, next on the list is the ignition switch contacts.
