Weak Spark!
After parking my 89-300ce for about a month I couldn't get it started. The plugs where fouled so I installed some fresh ones. Still no start. When I checked for spark it was weak and yellow. I dried the plugs, opened the throttle body, and let the whole thing dry out for a while. There was some minor condensation in the distributor cap but no signs of carbon tracking. On the next attempt it started and has been fine since.
In addition to the coil what else should I consider as the cause of a weak spark. Wires are newer. Rotor and cap look good. Thanks Jorg |
