Exclamation Brakes on an 02 S500 (w220)

How can I find out if my car has a SBC and if it does, can I still replace the pads and the sensors without having that system deactivated as I read in some of the posts? I don't want to replace calipers or even disks, just pads and sensors.

Thanks in advance, I did the search but could not find a straight answer.

I hate the 220 and I love love the W140. I am never owning a 220 again, unfortunately I am stuck with this one.
