95 e320 vacuum pod issue

Please help me find the correct part number for my uncle's issue. I know vacuum pods have been covered in detail on this site, but I mostly found w124 cars before the 94 - 95 models. He lives far from me and the last time I dropped by I did the mity vac test at the vacuum ports behind the passenger airbag. All held vacuum well expect number 4 which I have attached a pic from another user from this site, but I believe that car was a 93 w124. My uncle remembers that when the issue of warm/hot air coming through the left most vent and fine ac through the center vent started, he remembers hearing a loud pouf noise behind the dashboard. I didn't check but I believe his car has the cabin dust filter and I may have narrowed it down to part number MBZ062270 or MBZ062267 http://www.allpartsexpress.com/ShopByVehicle.epc?q=1995-MERCEDES--BENZ-E3--0--/--L6--3199cc--3.--l--Gas--Fi-Climate--Control&yearid=1995%40%401995&makeid=MERCEDES+BENZ%40%40MERCEDES+BENZ%40%40X&engineid=1195578%40%40E320++%2F+L6-3199cc+3.2L+GAS+FI%40%40E320&catid=Climate+Control%40%40Climate+Control&subcatid=Vacuum+Unit@@Vacuum+Unit&mode=PA
I suggested that while the dash is out to replace as many pods as possible, but he wants to correct the issue for now .... any help would be greatly appreciated and I thank you for your time

Thanks for the help. I don't have the VIN number handy, but I will try with my VIN number from my 94 e320 where the part(s) may be similar. I do have any update though, my uncle confirmed that the left most and the right most vents blow hot air while the middle vent blows cold a/c. Does this sound like a diverter pod issue?

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You come to a website that is funded largely by the sale of parts and discuss OTHER sources of parts.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This wonderful site is generously provided to us by folks who do so as a courtesy. What puts food on their tables, however, is the sale of parts. If you will click on "Buy Parts" above, you will not only have access to parts, but will be sold to you by folks who know the breed and can offer whatever advice you need along with the CORRECT part rather than talking to someone who wouldn't know a W124 vacuum pod if it bit them in the A$$.

This is very much like walking into your local Auto Supply store and overhearing another customer at the counter asking where else they can buy a particular part and then you tell them, in front of the local Auto Supply owner, that they can get that part at another store down the street. HOW RUDE?

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did your Momma never teach you any common manners?

I thought AllPartsExpress was a sponser of this site? Am I missing something?

I offer my sincere apologies. The names and such have changed during that time that I was away. I did NOT know that this was the new name of the parts vendor affiliated with this site.

I can't promis anything, but I will TRY to get this size 11 shoe in my mouth.

oh man I didn't realize my post would cause all of this. However, I narrowed it down to two possible parts and told my uncle to get either 124-800-0275 Shut Off Flaps Element or 124-800-0375-OE Cold Air Flap Vacuum Element or maybe even both. I also suggested checking the vacuum line after it leaves port number 4 to make sure it is securely connected to the pod behind the air conditioning push button unit before taking apart the dash
