The car is a 1990 190E 2.6. The car runs great until it stalls then all I hear is slushing in the tank. Searched on wis and found something addressing this problem with a plastic fuel tank but this car has a sheetmetal tank. Things Ive replace/check include fuel pressure, MAS, OVP, fuel injection system, fuel hoses, ground connections, new plugs,distributor. Items i havent really closed looked include the CPS since I dont own a oscillocope even though it passes ohm test and the fuel evap system.

What else have I missed that is causing this fuel slushing in tank? this solution to the problem has not come to me yet besides doing many things to fix it.

I was thinking that and also a fuel tank with broken baffels. Anyone have a picture of the cross section of a mercedes fuel tank?
