w124 comfort module question
I have taken apart the comfort module from my 1993 300te, and found that it's fried. A couple of those little metal bars seem to have vaporized, and some traces look like they've gotten very hot- not to mention that lovely scent of magic electrical component smoke. Just wondering if it explains any of the other behavior in the car. What else do these modules control aside from windows? do they control locks, or any climate control stuff? if this failed, should I look for related failures elsewhere?
