				diesel crank

If i use a diesel crank from a 350 sdl, and install using a 104 block is it going to need special pistons , crank bearings or will additional machining be needed on the crank, i am willing to either have pistons made , or is it less expensive to have new connecting rods made , i have a 1994 e320 wagon, and a 95 c 280 complete engine, |

If you're using the 3.0L block, I think you'll have to use the 2.8L con rods with the 3.5L crank do get the desired effect. I THINK!

Interesting project, first I've heard of it. Does the crank bolt into the M104 block? I have a set of 350SDL rods and pistons (used) from an OM603.970, PM me if you need them.

				350 sdl crank

Well , i understand thats how the amg c 36 was made using a 350 diesel crank, 2 .8 litre rods and overbored pistons, im just triing to verify, if anyone has actually done it , ive bought a brand new 104 block from mercedes and am buying the 350 sdl crankshaft, just getting the parts ready, havent taken measurements yet.

Everything basically bolts right up. I don't know how the fuel management system would have to be changed though. I've read about and witnessed personally the creation of such a monster, but I remember it vaguely. All I remember are the basic parts used. Who knew you could put 3 different engines together to make a monster.
