Emergency w126 wheel question

Please excuse me for posting this in the wrong forum, it is also posted in the Wheel & Tire forum, but I really need a fast response.

I have a 420SEL with 16x8 15 hole wheels from a 91 SL with 15mm spacers from H&R.

I just removed a wheels to find the lip of the spacer broken off in the wheel. After I got the lip out of the wheel I put the wheel, without the spacer back on the car, it spins fine so i took it on a 1/2 mile low speed test drive without incident.

The tie rod end is very close but does not touch the wheel. Can i go without the spacers or is there going to be a problem at higher speeds.

Any replys will be appreciated since I am currently stranded.
