Window motor only goes up (w124)
When I test it with a starter, it goes both ways fine, but when its in the door, it will only go up, not down. This is the rear motor/regulator.
Does this sound like an electrical issue? Anybody else ever experience this?

Yeh I switched it and no luck. No pun. Same thing happens with the button in the center console.

At the two pole connector on the door, take out the two Philip's head screws and remove the wires to the window motor then check to see that both wires coming from the wire loom/harness are connected to ground. If not then one of the wires is probably broken inside the corrugated flex duct between the door and the B pillar.

In my wagon both rear windows stopped working, the wires in the B pillar had become brittle and eventually broke. I cut out the corroded bits and soldered in some new wire and now both windows work perfectly. I even got the puddle lights to work again.
