FYI 380SL Ignition Problems

A few months ago I asked for some help with a problem I was having with my 85 380SL. It sometimes stumbled under acceleration and would stall at idle. I noticed that when the engine stalled at idle the fuel pump would surge to the point of shutting off momentarilly. When the engine stumbled under acceleration, the tack would act erratically. I didn't put all of this together until I got a tip from one of the customer service folks at one of the aftermarket parts suppliers that I use. He told me that the cause of these issues was most likely the ICU. I went back to the wiring diagrams and noticed that the timing pulse for the rpm signal to the tack and fuel pump relay originated in the distributor and was converted in the ICU before being sent to the tack and fuel pump relay, which will shut down the fuel pump if the rpms drp below 80. At any rate , this fixed the problem.

On adifferent topic, does anyone know what the baseline modulator pressure should be the the trans. in this car?
