1995 E320 Broken Window Regulator
We have a 1995 E320 and the driver side rear window regulator broke at the clip where it connects to the cable. Can I purchase just the gray clip or that whole slider assembly? I do not want to buy a new regulator.
Thank you |

I just did this with my car. If it broke at the gray plastic clip where the cables are connected then yes you will need a new regulator or a piece of 2x4 to permanently prop the window up. The white plastic jaw is for sale here at FastLane, but requires a bit of craft to install on the regulator, i.e peening the piece on with a new rivet. Alternatively there are used regs for sale on eBay all the time. I got one for $40 that was almost brand new. Threw it in problem solved.
BTW do be careful with those door panels. JB Weld is great for regluing the panel clips to the inside of the door panels. Grease the rails with some nondrying grease while you're in there.
