Are you sure you checked it correctly.

Engine HOT, park on level ground, cycle through each gear, and then place in N, and check fluid.

Did this happen all of a sudden?

I did it with the engine hot, on ground level and did cycle through each gear but placed it back in park. Should I test it again in neutral?
