Need a recommendation

I need a good oil transfer pump for oil changes and I also need a good outside cover for my SL320 no garage at this time.
Thanks for any help.
Jim

Mityvac makes a good one for around $15. I assume when you say transfer pump you mean something that just transfers and doesn't stores.

No ideas on the car cover, though.

Unless stated otherwise, any question I ask is about my greymarket 1985 380SEL.

Dude, no- the MityVac won't work well for oil changes. Go out and buy a Motive Products fluid transfer apparatus available from Performance Products 4 Benz. MityVac doesn't even work well for brake bleeding. Only thing MityVac works well for is diagnosing vac leaks. You'd be better off changing the oil the old fashioned way- while hot and draining from the plug on the oil pan- because you get more of the old oil out that way. But the difference between the two methods is slight at best. A dipstick oil changer certainly is convenient.
Very nice SL. And I mean very nice. My recommendation for a cover is you should have built a garage before buying it. No SL should be forced to live outside. Get an MB cover or one from Performance Products in the meantime until you sort out garage accommodations.

Pumps

Thanks guy sounds like a good rec.,but you know most dealers use the pumps on mercedes because of the engine pan covers takes more time to make an oil change.I understand a lot of Audi dealers also use pumps for oil changes.P.S. your right about the garage but that's now my weight room and diving equipment storage area.
Thanks again: Jim

No garage here, was going to buy a car cover for Hildegarde for her winters hibernation, but has not gotten around to that, yet..
