1987 190D HEATER FAN
I have a great 1987 190D, my first Benz. The heater blower motor fans have come loss and I need to get in an replace or repair this unit. Can anyone tell me how to do this?
A second issue is when ever I turn on the defroster, the thing (blower) runs at full blast on high heat, is this normal? Thanks |

I think it is normal to be on full when defrosting. My 190D does the same but I do not have the user manual to verify it. Cannot help you on the heat as mine does not do it. My Climate Control is in 'working' condition but I put up with some quirks.

This thread will get you started on the blower motor: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=242345 When you turn on the defrost, it will run the blower on high, with full heat. The air is also directed at the windshield.

Thanks this is a great help. I have the 2.5L non-turbo engine with a automatic transmission. Nice care to drive once I learned how to drive it properly.
Thanks again |
