Strut mount life and BRAND???
Ok,
I'm looking at my 86' which I replaced the overhauled the front suspension in 04. Driverside strut mount has failed. This is a dealer purchase replacement part (2004). I don't think 6 years and 50,000 miles is reasonable for these. Previously, I had poor luck with the Febi/Bilstein .... I see: Meyle HD exceed OE spec Febi/Bilstein OE Metzler (OE supplier) I've now tried all except the Meyle's and had what I consider poor life especially as then you must re-align the car after replacement. What do most ppl here suggest? Michael Last edited by samiam44; 02-07-2010 at 09:03 PM. |

Do Not the Bilsteins...
Purchased "Aftermarket"(I.E.:Not a "Factory" installed item.) still have a "Lifetime" warranty?

Need to buy the Original strut mounts with the Mercedes Logo cast in the rubber part.

Genuine as per Silverteam. Aftermarket rubber just doesn't hold up..
