Spark plug wires hard to remove from distributor cap
Is some special tool needed? I don't want to use brute force. Car is 1990 300CE. Thanks!

Isn't there a special tool for everything!! I just use needle nose pliers and very carefully twist/rotate the connector back and forth before trying to pull it off. Obviously, be careful not to pull on the wire, just the connector. When I put the wires back on, I use a little bit of DiElectric grease and lubricate both the spark plug and the distrib cap connections. This will make it easier to remove the next time around.

The twist is important. Rotate them before you pull them off. There is a tool. It has a screwdriver handle and looks like a bent two prong fork.

Quote:
This is the exact way to do it, twist them before yanking.
