E420 Head Light Switch Toast
My switch totally went out last night and I ended up having to drive home with my hazard lights flashing in order to see. I pulled it out and it sounds like a dried gourd when I shake it. It is definitely toast.
I ordered a new one from the dealer for $80 but it won't get here until Monday. In the mean time, does anyone have any idea which leads to jump on the female side of the canon plug in order to get some lights?

This page shows the "PinOuts"
http://www.ps2cho.net/downloads/MB%20CD/W124/w124CD1/Program/ETM/ETM.pdf
(AND , it looks like you're gonna have to jumper TWO different sets of Pins.) (One set for the Head Lamps and a separate set for Tail Lamps) [I'd sure be studying on this schematic ,BEFORE I jumped any terminals!] (Errrggghhkkkkk! Stamped on the Schlecht switch is the word "ITALY" ,Ottimo in things Vino and Donne, less than pleasing in Automotive Electrics.)

Thanks. I think I will wait until the switch comes in. I can see myself blowing some fuses if I tried this.
