				Serpentine Belt 1994 E420

Question for you guys - have a 94 E420 and need a serpentine belt (also want to replace brakes and rotors) but focussing on the belt - can I buya belt and change it myself? I love the car, but I don't do alot of work on cars. I have a buddy whose a car enthusiast but wanted to know what I need before we get into this. Thanks!

Yep, had to replace the tensioner on my '92 400E (119.975 engine) and did the belt at the same time - it's pretty easy. Take some snapshots of where it goes prior to removal, since I've experienced the obvious (routing) becoming obscure once you have these things off. Scotz

If I recall correctly, you don't have to slip the belt over the fan to get it on and off. In fact, I don't even recall having to take off the fan shroud. It was really easy. Here's the schematic. Good luck. https://docs.google.com/fileview?id=0B-WRh0Hf7VdZMWEyZDJjNjQtMTkwNC00M2Q3LWJkOTYtMDgxNGFkOTUzMGZi&hl=en
